Lessons & Pricing

Private lessons are designed to create more accuracy and distance. During a lesson our goal is to have the student understand what they are doing with their swing the and what they need to do to improve. We'll be adjusting the mechanics of the swing so that ultimately the student will have a feel for their swing when practicing and ultimately on the course. .

Playing lessons are a great way to help a student learn to manage the golf course. As an instructor it also gives me the opportunity to better see and understand what tendencies the student has that either help or hurt the when playing on a course.

In addition to the actual swing mechanics, we'll be working on pre-shot routines;  learning to read and address varying course conditions and different strategies for different challenges.

What Mark's Students have to say...
  • I have worked with Mark over the past two years. I am at a point where I can trust my swing and that it is repeatable. Mark's understanding of the swing and communication of how to implement it to my game has helped both my full swing and short game. My consistency, accuracy and distance have all improved. I have full trust in his teaching and coaching. I highly recommend golfers of all levels to seek his help.

  • Thank you for the great program of lessons. I’ve struggled with the same swing errors ever since I started playing, too many years ago to admit. Without the daily reinforcement your approach provides, I could not have made the necessary changes. Now I know what the ball flight tells me and what is required in my swing for straight flight. I especially like that the fundamentals are the same from the chip through the driver. All takeaways start with the shoulders. The left shoulder turns down on the backswing; the right shoulder turns down on the through swing. The head stays at the center through impact. All swings come from the inside and go out. A pitch is a longer chip. A sand shot is just a chip. I love practicing because I know what to do and how to fix a bad swing. I am not “there" yet, but because of your approach, I’m delighted with the progress and looking forward to getting better.

  • I wanted to tell you how good my front nine was an Happy I was with my golf I can only tell you I haven't said that for a long time. I signed up for your coaching experience because I was ready to quit golf I can only tell you I am now happy where I am optimistic about the future. Over the last 10 years you and I have struggled with my golf I've gone from 14 to 24 handicap and obviously I am very Unhappy. I now see the light at the end of the Tunnel I was reluctant to have major surgery in regards to my golf game but I now see the value of the coaching and not minor surgery I am very please with where I have progressed and feel like I'm back on track again and will once again be happy with my golf. I will certainly call you when I get back to AZ finish The program and take,Horlick's money

  • Can't tell you how much I appreciated your text asking how things were going. You'll be pleased to hear that I'm practicing the short game skills. Some success, but also some of that other stuff. I ran into Jerry David at the chipping area yesterday as he too was practicing. I noticed his white paged booklet and asked if the two of your were working together. He asked me how I was progressing. When I told him that I was trying to make the concepts my own, he understood exactly what I was talking about. The flat left, bent right, hit down mantra reverberates in my head. The putting is definitely better. I still struggle with long putts distance control, but hopefully they'll come a time when it isn't a struggle. My scoring isn't remarkably better, but I feel my game is. Here's hoping for a merging of thought and outcome. I miss our sessions together already, but know that I must put in more work. You've been so supportive and I can't thank you enough for your words of encouragement

  • As an older player now with two total knee replacements, I was no ordinary student. Mark worked with me to understand what I could and could not do with my body. Used his advanced video to have me understand what I was doing and what I needed to do to improve. He communicated in ways I understood, and my game has been raised back to a level I would not have thought possible.

  • Mark Winkley is an amazing instructor ! I'm 73 years old and although I play golf 4+ times per week, I noticed that my club head speed and accuracy were diminishing with my driver. Mark quickly spotted two reasons: my balance and my swing arc both needed work. He gave me some relatively easy and fun to do exercises which addressed these two areas and after a couple of weeks I started to notice improvement. My club head speed has increased from 82 mph to 88 mph and my accuracy has greatly improved. I'll continue to use these exercises and follow his instructions until our golf season is over in the northeast. Then I'll be heading west to take some more instruction from Mark- working on my shot game and hopefully learning how to "shape"' my drives. Mark is a great instructor and a great guy. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their game and have fun while doing it.

  • After seeing Mark on the PGA tour at Whistling Straights I took three series of lessons from him he was able to work with my beginner ability and show me how to play at my level even though he is a tour caliber instructor. He rebuilt my swing and now I shoot consistently in the 80s on pretty much any course I play. It was a great experience I would highly recommend anyone interested in really learning how to play golf to rent him for a couple of weeks.
